On 24 August 2020, The teaser video was released featuring a video call chat between the Selena Gomez and Blackpink while their upcoming single was played in the back.
The teaser photos of the BlackPink members and Gomez were released from 24th to 26th chronologically, the first teaser photo was released of the blackpink member Jisoo on 24th and on 25th
Jennie and Rose's teaser photos were released and on 26th photos of Gomez and Lisa were released.
On 27 August 2020, Blackpink released a teaser of their music video Icecream.
And finally, On 28th August 2020, the Official Music Video was released and premiered on BlackPink Youtube Channel.
